We were employed by Údarás na Gaeltachta to redevelop a vacant 1970’s industrial unit. This involved the removal of existing cladding & roof, the insertion of two new upper floors within the existing structural steel frame to provide a multi functional community amenity building housing fully fitted out civic offices, library, educational facility, enterprise suites, crèche and a leisure facility totally 6,800m2. The complex is built using a structural steel  frame, blockwork, high performance glazing with metal and natural stone cladding all set in 4 acres of soft landscaping and parking facilities. As part of the project we installed a solar heating system, this is an airtight building built to a class A efficiency rating.
